But, what do you actually do?

You know that awkward moment when you’re asked what you do, and though every cell of your being knows what that is, somehow it doesn’t make it out of your mouth as eloquently as you wish?

Welcome to my world.

I have long since struggled with the dreaded elevator speech - what my professional identity is, what category it fits into, and how to sum it up into the tidy container of a title most people are familiar with.

In my last share here, I went into a deep reclaiming around being psychic, giving it the space to breathe, be contextualised, and redefined. It is my gift. I am that.

And, I am more.

The number of hats I wear in my business alone is to be marvelled at.

That’s what I tell myself at least.

At this point in the game, I’m not unclear nor lacking in confidence. I know what I excel at, how I help others transform, and who those ideal fit clients are. It’s just that I am operating at the intersection of 5 different career paths, and I refuse to choose only one.

Therein lies the problem according to your average joe business coach or normie norma marketing strategist.

Choose one lane. Niche down. Signature offer only.

But who gave them agency and authority to decide what the standard is?

When you’re born to build the new, part of that calling includes carving the path of how you do what you do.

The alternative sect is no better. They swing to the other side of the polarity with - choose your own title, make it as outrageous as you want, who cares if it’s unsearchable or unrelatable, it’s you.

Does a middle way need to be established? No. But your way does.

That’s what I’ve been in reclaim mode around, and it’s also what I help clients with.

To synthesise the gifts, training, expertise, and passion into one cohesive calling, not title.

Your purpose work needs to make sense to you first. You need to see where the pieces fit together before you present it to the world in the way you, or they, expect. If it hasn’t landed within you, it won’t for anyone else, no matter how good it sounds in a soundbite. The words need to feel right coming out of your mouth.

Where this topic gets even spicier though is when you place it under the new paradigm umbrella.

Those of us born to build the new are not just here to do our purpose work in our own unique way, we are also charged with changing the larger collective narrative around the kind of work we do and owning how it shifts the paradigm. We are here to give new language and context to this right livelihood work.

This gives a certain level of gravitas around “getting it right.”

Not due to perfectionism, but in knowing our role goes beyond the work itself, that the language of what we do and the transformation resulting from it is part of a new lexicon.

As a new paradigm builder, we need to:

• Be good at our craft, and able to articulate the transformation.

• Synthesise our gifts instead of compartmentalising them.

• Practice what you preach, have embodied integrity.

• Show up with genuine presence, authenticity.

• Bring in expansive, grounded language.

Often, I don’t think we realise all that we hold energetically when it comes to our calling.

The ability to convey what we do, who we are, and what we stand for in simple, relatable terms to others can feel daunting. And, that’s part of the thrill, to challenge ourselves linguistically and creatively. I remind myself of this often whenever I bump up against not being able to say it all in one sentence.

Which leads me to these declarations and descriptions, these 5 career paths converge into one ME.

I encourage you to do this for yourself. Declare who you are. Own your role, your path, your genius.

Then find the throughline, the golden thread that weaves through everything you do.

Mine is “Born to Build the New” as it speaks to who I am, who I serve, and what I do.

I am an Energy Guide

The energy I am also referring to is what’s going on underneath the surface of any aspect of your life, or the collective. There are underlying dynamics at play most people sense but can’t articulate. They’ll have a feeling there’s more to the story than what appears to be, but aren’t clear on the actual dynamic or how to resolve it.

I am able to see what’s happening, translate it, and then offer the tools to resolve it. This is what I teach you to do - guide yourself and others around energy - through all the courses I offer.

Energy is my methodology, framework, and foundation for everything I do, personally and professionally. It’s the lens I navigate my life through and gives me a perspective I haven’t been able to find elsewhere.

I am an Identity Seer

This role is an extension of being an Energy Guide, a specific gift within it.

When I look through the energy lens, I see the most optimised version of you, embodying your purpose and potential. This identity exists as an overlay, if you will, on top of your physical body. It is always with you, and often trying to get your attention.

I used to solely focus on the big reveal as so many of us are hungry for that. To be seen. To see ourselves.

But as I continued to evolve, so did my purpose work.

I no longer wanted to zoom in only on the identity reflection, but on the build of what you’re here to do, pairing that with who you need to be to lead that calling. This is what makes up the 1:1 work I do now.

This is my most relatable, mainstream title… and my least favorite one to use even though it accurately describes a good portion of what I do - help facilitate the build of your purpose work so it’s aligned to you.
